A Romance Story by Gideon DiMeglioOnce upon a time there was a town. In the town there were only four people; well, if you want to call a goblin a person. A fair maiden, a handsome bucconeer, a homeless fellow, and a goblin. All three men were deep in love with the maiden, though the maiden loved none of them. But she knew she had to marry one of them to carry on humanity. She decided to have a competition, "Whichever one of you can fill this jug with th e most valuable thing will win me." They all thought this was a grand idea! They thought and thought what they could fill the jug with until the day came. "All right it's time to see what you have to offer." The homeless man started, "I have brought the most beautiful smelling flower in the world. I will fill the jug with its' petals. This represents my eternal admiration for your beauty." He finished. The bucconer started getting nervous but started, "I fill the jug with my blood which I will spill for you against any foe. This represents my love for you." The goblin began in his rusky voice, "I don't know what they mean, but I'll give you eternal riches!" The other two men looked appauled and turned their eyes to the maiden. "Oh I choose you goblin!" The other two dropped their jaws. The gobling leaped in excitement and took the maiden';s hand leading her to his lair. They lived richly and happy for eternity. This goes to show love means nothing. THE END!
