Once upon a time, there was a new sheriff that moved into the town of Old City. His name was Sheriff Dean. One day, Sheriff Dean realized that nobody talked to each other in his town. The lady and the gentleman, Cindy and George, always stuck to themselves and never spent much time outside of their home. Sheriff Dean wasn't even sure what kind of job they had. The cowboy, Smith, was a very selfish man and only cared about his horse. Sheriff Dean didn't like Smith much, because of this. Jason, the soldier, was always scared and ran away from everybody else. Sheriff Dean tried to talk to Jason one day and before he even made eye contact with Jason, he was gone. Chief Ross was a quiet man. He always waved at people as they passed by, but would never say a word. Warrior Billy was a talkative man. He would invite people in for coffee, but nobody would ever give him any attention. Sheriff Dean was very angry at his town residents that he decided to invite his old friend Cupid to town to try and help. That very night, Cupid used his powers to cast a spell over the town that would shock everyone.
In the morning, Jason, Cindy, George, Smith, Chief Ross, and Billy all woke up in the middle of the desert. They were all yelling at each other and confused on why they were in the middle of the desert. Suddenly, Cupid and Sheriff Dean appear. Cupid tells the residents that they will have to stay in the desert until they all get along and be nice to one another. Then Cupid and Sheriff Dean disappeared. Smith, the cowboy, wasn’t very optimistic and yelled “We are all doomed” as he rode off into the sunset on his horse.
For the next three days, none of the residents of Old City talked to each other. Until one morning, Chief Ross went for a walk and got bit by a snake. He screamed and screamed for help "AWWWWW". George and Cindy were the first to hear him and ran over to Chief Ross. George told him that he was a doctor and would like to help. Chief Ross couldn't understand him, but he allowed George take a look at the bite. George then asked cowboy Smith if he could borrow his rope to tighten Chief Ross's leg. Without any hesitation, Smith gave the rope to George. Jason, the soldier, also came over and offered to entertain Chief Ross by playing his fiddle that he had in is satchel. Cindy asked Jason why he is so scared all the time, but can play the fiddle for them and Jason replied "playing the fiddle smoothes my fears". Cindy gave Jason a big hug and a smile. Off in the distance, Billy, the warrior, noticed that Chief Ross was hurt. He rode his horse in as fast as he could. He then spoke to Chief Ross in an unfamiliar language that nobody else understood. Suddenly, Cindy realized that Chief Ross couldn't speak English and told everyone that she was a teacher and could help Chief Ross learn English. Billy gave everyone a smile and told them that Chief Ross says thank you and that he likes seeing everyone work together as a team to help a fallen friend in need. Once that was said, Cupid and Sheriff Dean showed up and casted a spell that sent everyone back to Old City.
From that day on, Sheriff Dean watched his town residents greet each other, go out for coffee, and host BBQs. Cindy also taught Chief Ross how to speak English. The residents of Old City finally realized that friends can make a person happy and full of laughter, but a life without friends isn't a life at all. The End.
