One gloomy day a man & a woman were walking through the park together. The man was kind, and was deeply in love with the woman. The woman held his hand and he felt as though he was on top of the world. He looked at the ballon he gave the woman and thought to himself, “I am like this balloon. I am a lifeless piece of latex without her as my helium. She picks me up, and I feel like nothing when I’m not with her. I need her.”The man looked down at the beautiful lady in white, and said to her “ You make these dreary days bright for me. You make my world go around. You are the helium to my balloon. Will you marry me?” The wind carried the gentle words from her mouth to the mans ear. “Yes.” 11 months later they stood together surrounded by family, friends, and 99 red balloons. That was the day they finally got married. When the preacher pronounced them husband and wife, they kissed their wedding vows that were written down on paper, put them in one of the red balloons and watched the balloon drift away. Everyone stood in silence until the ballon finally flew so far that it couldn’t be seen, and then they irrupted in cheers. The man & woman grew old together, and had 3 beautiful children who had children of their own. One morning the oldest child went to visit and found them dead in their bedroom. They had died peacefully together in their sleep, still as in love as they were 45 years ago. At the funeral, once again they were surrounded by loved ones, and 99 red balloons. After everyone had said their final goodbyes, as their ashes were being lowered into the ground, 2 pieces of paper fell from the sky. The papers read: I take you, my helium, to be my life partner. To have and to hold forever and ever, and to love through sickness and health. You pick me up when I am down, and I need you. These wedding vows were buried with them that day. THE END
